Easy DIY Chevron Art

Sharing is caring!

I love an easy DIY project, and this easy chevron art is definitely one of those!

It only took me an hour to make and it cost less than $20.

Michael’s was my craft store of choice this time. I am lucky to live right by a Joann’s, Michael’s and Hobby Lobby. I love all three stores!

Usually I pick which one to go to based on convenience…whichever one I’m closest to at the time.

This is what I bought for the chevron art:

The only thing not pictured is white paint. I already had that so I didn’t need to buy more.

My original plan was to buy unfinished wood and stain it, but then I came across the distressed piece of wood that I ended up buying. It was actually cheaper than the unfinished piece of wood I was going to buy.

Plus it ended up saving me time.

The first thing I did was taped off my pattern.

There are no rules here! Just do whatever pattern you like.

Once I was done taping it off I started painting. I chose navy blue, coral, grey and white. I ended up doing two coats of each color.

After the paint dried for a few minutes I peeled off the tape.

Voila! Project complete! I absolutely love the way it turned out. Let me know if you try it. 🙂
