I love these chocolate covered pretzels because they are easy to do. If I were to rate cake balls, chocolate covered Oreo’s and chocolate covered pretzels by which is the easiest to do, these are the winner!

They also happen to taste great! Salty and sweet is my favorite.

There’s just a few things you need to pull off these chocolate covered pretzel rods.

I headed over to Joann’s and bought candy melts and sprinkles. I was hoping they would have Valentine’s Day sprinkles, but they didn’t. Instead, I bought pink, red and white sprinkles.

I stopped at the grocery store and bought some pretzel rods. That’s all you need!

Now that I had all of my supplies, it was time to start. The first thing I did was lined a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Next up I had to melt the candy melts. This may not be the right thing to do, but I melted them in tall glasses. I did it in the microwave at 50% power so the glass didn’t get too hot.

It was really easy to dip the pretzels into the tall glasses. It worked out perfect!

So that’s actually the next step….dipping the pretzel into the chocolate. Once you dip the pretzel into the chocolate you pull it out and let the excess chocolate drip off.

Once that’s done you can add the sprinkles. You can get as creative as you want. That’s what I love about crafts like this…you can mix up the colors, mix up the sprinkles and make them your own!

After the sprinkles were added, I put the pretzel on the baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

I let them dry for about an hour, then it was time to pick up my kids from school. When they got home they were so excited to see the chocolate covered pretzels!! They both immediately had one.

Overall these chocolate covered pretzels were an absolute success!
