Cookies and Christmas go hand in hand. I love Christmas cookies, but I don’t love making them. But these cookies are a different story….they are the easiest Christmas cookies to make!

Ok, so I technically cheated. I bought cookies that were already made, then I decorated them. I’m ok with that because I love the way they turned out!
I bought these shortbread cookies from the grocery store:
I liked the rectangle shape of the cookies. I knew I was going to dip them in candy melts and the shape made it easy to do.
I headed over to Joann’s to buy some candy melts. I chose green and red because….Christmas!
I also bought some Holiday Sprinkles 
I love these sprinkles. One container of sprinkles can be very expensive! With these sprinkles I get a variety for way less money.
All I had to do to make the cookies was melt the candy melts according to the directions on the bag. I started with the red.
While that was in the microwave I opened up the cookies and lined a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Once the candy melts were done I simply took one cookie and dipped it half way in. I pulled out the cookie and let the extra melt drip off before adding the sprinkles.
The first cookie I put on the parchment paper, then added the sprinkles.
That wasn’t a great idea. The sprinkles went everywhere!! The rest of the cookies I decorated over the sink so I could wash the extra sprinkles down the drain. 🙂
Once the red cookies were done I moved on to the green.
Then I let the candy melts harden for about 1 hour. That’s it! The cookies turned out super cute. I love all of the different sprinkles. This is my kind of Christmas “baking!”
