DIY S’mores Gift Basket

Sharing is caring!

I love putting together gift baskets. You can really turn a so-so gift into something special. My S’mores gift basket is great to take to parties in the summer. It’s easy to make and people love it!

I’m lucky enough to live close to an IKEA. That’s where I buy my lanterns from. It’s only $14.99 and it’s pretty big – 17 1/4″ tall. It’s the perfect size to fit all of my goodies into. Plus it’s something that can be used over and over again. If you don’t have an IKEA by you you can find lanterns at most home goods stores.

Here is what I put in the s’mores basket:

The red & white checkered paper I bought from Amazon. I love it because it reminds me of a picnic. That is what I used to line the bottom of the lantern. You can get it here.

I also bought these bamboo skewers. I took ten out of the pack and wrapped a piece of tape around them to keep them together. Then I put a piece of twine around it and tied it into a bow.

Now for the fun stuff….the food! I of course added marshmallows, Hershey’s chocolate bars and graham crackers. All of the s’mores making staples! I also added the Poky candy because it reminded me of the stick you use to make s’mores. I picked that up from the candy section at 5 Below.

The last thing was the candle. I bought that at IKEA when I got the lantern but you could even pick one up at the dollar store.

There aren’t really any rules to assembling the s’mores basket. Just do what you think looks good! Once I had everything inside the lantern I finished it by adding a bow to the top. It’s almost too cute to give away!
