Like many people, my refrigerator is a “magnet” for pictures, invitations and reminders.  I had all kinds of magnets sticking stuff to the fridge. I knew there had to be something I could do to make it more decorative and organized.

I decided to make some of my own decorative magnets. There were just a few things I needed to make these magnets, some of which I already had. I ordered these acrylic discs (1″) from Amazon. I already had scrapbook paper, Mod Podge, a pencil and magnets. Here is everything I used:

The only thing not in the picture is a pencil, but I’m pretty sure you know what one of those look like. 🙂

The acrylic discs (1″) came with a backing that needs to be peeled off. That’s the first thing I did. Once my discs were ready to go I used them to trace circles on the scrapbook paper.

After that I cut out the circles. Then I put the Mod Podge on one side of the acrylic disc and stuck one of the cut out circles to it.

The Mod Podge will dry clear.

I let it dry for 1 hour, then I put Mod Podge on one side of the magnet and stuck it to the back of the scrapbook paper.

I let them dry overnight, then it was time to get my fridge organized. Here is a before and after pic:

I think it looks so much cleaner now and I LOVE the way the magnets turned out. Super cute!
