Ok, so this art didn’t really cost a dime to make, but it was less than $20. I think that’s a pretty good deal!

You can save so much money with DIY projects and I love the sense of pride from doing something yourself.
You don’t need much to tackle this project. I used a picture frame (11×14 matted to 8×10), a flower stamp, paint and a piece of scrapbook paper. That’s it!
All of these things I purchased from a craft store. I don’t buy anything unless it is on sale or I have a coupon. That’s why this project costs less than $20.
The frame was originally $15.99, however I purchased it on sale for $8. That’s pretty good! Especially since it came with the matte included.
The rubber stamp I bought was on sale for $6.99, original price was $9.99. I did not buy an ink pad to go with it since I have a ton of acrylic paint at home. I figured I would try using that.
The scrapbook paper I bought was $.99. The total for this project was $16 – basically the price of the frame before the sale price.
Here is everything you need for this project:

Your frame, a piece of scrapbook paper, a rubber stamp, paint or ink pad and paint brush.
Since I used paint I dabbed some paint onto the brush, then carefully painted the stamp. You don’t want to get too much paint on it or you will get globs of paint when you stamp it.

Now you carefully stamp your paper. I did mine right in the center.

This is what it looked like after I stamped it:

I think it’s so simple, yet so pretty. The next step was to put it in the frame. I centered it, then put the back of the frame on.

This is the finished project:

I love it!
